HUD appears in recorded gameplay
-
Hiya folks,
Ever since the latest version of the FBX software, the game recording I've been doing has been capturing the HUD. In the previous version, though the HUD was visible to me during recording, it wasn't captured in the video itself.
Is there a setting I need to change so I can see the HUD info but not have that info captured with the game's video?

Very strange - the HUD should never be recorded. Can you reproduce the problem, then go to the Support tab and send us a report. We'll take a look, but the developers are away for Christmas and New Year, so its going to be early Jan before they can look at this.
If the game you're recording doesn't need a high frame rate, you could try using 'Fullscreen' mode to record it - go to Settings -> Capture.

I tried a few games and didn't recreate the issue, so the only instances I've encountered it to date are with an old hidden object game called Phantasmat, which I recorded on Dec. 20 and Dec. 25. Here's a YouTube link where you can see the time stamp:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=prLvuLev4X8&t=991sThe game's from 2011, so it could have something to do with upscaling the video dimensions (or something) for a modern computer, and that throwing off the HUD overlay.
But it hasn't occurred with 3 other games I tested it with today... including one from 2003. If I encounter the issue again, I'll update the thread, but it's proving to be a rarity.
I sent logs along via the Support issue tracker with a link to this thread. I'd mark it Low Priority at this point.
Thanks!

Thanks for the report! The developers are away for Xmas and New Year, but they'll take a look when they return.
