I can't get it to record my browser for a game i like; I have the latest version of chrome, so I'm not sure what to do, as other recorders are very laggy and this one looks very promicing.

Does the FBX overlay appear on Chrome at all? On any tab? If not, then the reason is that Chrome isn't using hardware accelerated video and therefore can't be recorded. You could try googling "how to turn on video acceleration in Chrome", but be aware that Chrome will never use it on some older PCs.
If you see the FBX overlay in Chrome, but cannot record a particular game, can you tell us the game please.
