Very Sharp Recording from System Sound
-
In the Settings -> Audio tab, for the 'Game' audio source, can you make sure it has your headset or speakers selected and not some other source.
-
it is using speakers
-
I just wanted it to sound more real with some bass rather than the tinny recording sfx from a mobile device or something
-
FBX doesn''t have any sound equalization features, so if you wanted everything more bassy, you'll need to use some 3rd party software to add EQ to the audio.
-
@FBX-Recorder Will the equalizer be a thing in the future?
-
An equalizer isn't on the todo list right now. I'm not sure we have an understanding of your problem yet though - you play the game and hear 'good' sound. FBX is set to record the 'Game' source. You play back the recording, through the same headset or speakers you listen to the game to, and it sounds different? Anything unusual about your sound setup? Are you using any sound enhancement app?
-
@FBX-Recorder No, I don't think so
-
@FBX-Recorder I'm starting to realize that it has nothing to do with fbx but rather something to do with my audio. I was using ShadowPlay and I had the same tinny sound effect. There must be some way to fix it.
-
@FBX-Recorder also i think recording from speakers is just tinny.
-
@FBX-Recorder I think I found the problem. I think it's because I have to use stereo mix in order to record. I don't hear any tinny noises.
-
Thanks for letting us know! So selecting the headset or speakers source gave tinny sound, but 'Stereo mix' was more accurate to what you hear? Whether a user has 'Stereo mix' or not depends on their audio drivers - its less common now than in the Win XP days
-
@FBX-Recorder Will this be somewhat pinned or something? It could really help others when they experience the same issue from playing with speakers.
-
It seems like this is quite an isolated issue so I don't think that is necessary at this point. We want to keep the stickies to issues that we know are affecting many users or the most popular games.
