Video skips on recording

Hi I'm new here and have found no issues at all using FBX (which will be a billion times better than OBS when you get your new enhancements added!). One small issue I've found is that when I start up a video it records my game (Everquest II) perfectly for about 20 seconds then it skips part of my recording and commentary - I lose maybe 5-10 seconds and then continues normally. This only happens near the beginning of a recording and is variable as to when it happens. Anything I can do to stop this and ensure one smooth recording please?

We've not heard about any one having this problem before so we can't immediately say what the problem could be. Have you seen it occur in any games other than Everquest II?
Could you reproduce the problem and then immediately use the Send a Problem Report on FBX's Support tab to send us the log files for that recording session so we can try to see what is going on please. If you could also send a copy of the recording to [email protected], that would be very helpful.

Thank you for coming back to me so quickly - I think this may have been my fault - I was just doing some short tests and I use F10 so that I can get rid of my game UI and record an uncluttered picture of the game - it seems using that button causes FBX to pause and resume so that could be my issue - I will have to fiddle with my hotkeys I think and come back to you if it continues - thanks!

By default the pause hotkey would be F8 so I guess that would only be the cause if you have changed the hotkeys yourself.
If you haven't changed any of the hotkeys, F10 would actually be used to save a clip of the last x seconds. Pressing that shouldn't interrupt the recording sessions though so we'd be interested to know if it is having that affect on your recordings.

I've just sent you a report - you're right and F10 works just fine to clear my UI and the video keeps going plus gives me a couple of extra clips. Hopefully the log will show what I'm doing wrong!:)
