FBX watermark
-
@FBX-Recorder so if I
download the newest version I will get an FBX watermark in the middle of my recording?
-
If you started with FBX v3, then yes, you'll see the watermark until you upgrade to Pro - then all the watermarks and the 15 minute recording restriction are gone for good.
If you created your account with FBX v1 or 2, then you won't get the watermark on recordings or the 15 min limit.
-
@FBX-Recorder I'm sorry if it's obvious and I'm just not seeing it but is there a way to download the earlier version to avoid the watermark?
-
Afraid not! Newer users will get the watermark unless they upgrade.
-
Looks like I'm not going to use this recording software. I thought that it will be good and it was because of the stretched no black bars option. After testing it I saw a watermark and went here to check out why and found my answer. Guess I'm going to go back to recording black bars.

@Jufh0x So you're not interested in adding stickers and effects etc to your movies? If we offered the Recorder with no restrictions at $9 would that be tempting, or you'd still use something else?

To record for an unlimited time and without the watermark, you need to upgrade to a Pro account.
You can find out more about different account types at https://fbx.gg/support/accounts/pro-vs-free/
And a guide on how to do upgrade is available at https://fbx.gg/support/accounts/how-to-upgrade/

but im broke af :'(

If we continued to give it away completely free forever then we'd end up being broke as well and no-one wants that :(
To make FBX as affordable as possible, we do offer 2 different upgrade options - a yearly subscription which lets you pay a small amount each year or a lifetime license costs more upfront but works out cheaper in the long run if you are going to continue using FBX for a number of years.
