Macroblocking
-
Hi,
My files have a lot of macroblocking (video breaking up at certain points of movement, causing large block-like artifacts) in them, and I don't know if others have had this problem. I've tried everything I can think of, and nothing seems to help.

We wouldn't expect anything like that to be happening. What video settings do you have selected?
-
I didn't mess with any of the settings aside from video, and those are set to:
Encoder: NVIDIA NVENC
FPS: 60
Quality: Max
Resolution: 1080pNo boxes checked in ADVANCED
-
Does it happen when any other encoder is selected?

Sorry for the delay in my reply. I've been doing some experimenting.
I find that it records fine if I'm using the "better quality, higher CPU usage" option. But of the options I've tried, that one is the only one that seems to work. I'm okay with it, but my concern is that option being the only one that works properly, when I have a pretty beefy computer with almost nothing on it that could bog it down.

We've not seen this before. Do you have a new RTX card? If so, can you try changing the 'Psycho visual tuning' and 'Nvenc - look ahead' options in FBX's Video settings tab.
If this doesn't improve it, can you make a 'bad' recording then go to the Support tab and send us a report please.
