FBX Videos are so laggy on Fortnite?

  • I record videos since season 6
I didnt OBS because of laggy recordings
But Now FBX recording seems so laggy even with such a low fps
And heres a thing everytime i open FBX the lags starting on game without this software game is pretty smooth
When i record i turned off every single application only Fortnite and FBX running and still freaking laggy

To clarify, are just talking about the quality of the recordings or are you also talking about how the game runs while recording?

If you are talking about the game as well, is it just when recording or is it as soon as the FBX app is launched?

  • Yeah when i start FBX game is lagging
so if game is lagging recording will also be laggy
    But it wasnt lagging before

We'll need to take a look at your log files then.

Can you start up Fortnite while FBX is running and when you see the game start to lag, use the Send a Problem Report on FBX's Support tab to send those to us please?

Also, can you tell us if FBX causes similar lag in any other games?

  • It doesnt lag in other game
    I run in Dota
Its fine because Dota take less CPU
But Fortnite and FBX both take so much CPU but not GPU i think my intel i5 cant handle all that at once

Have you recently changed any settings that could have caused the lag to occur?

If you have a hardware encoder, make sure you are using that so that your GPU can handle the encoding instead of your CPU. If you only have software encoders, the x264 that can be downloaded should put the least amoutn of strain on the CPU.

  • I used to play fortnite in 60 fps now i play 30 fps
Everything is low in the game settings
Anyway, i guess i need 6 core processors
    and
the Full screen capture mode i cant see the timing of recording so its inconvenient?
Normal game mode is fine but in Dota 2 that timing block my kill death and assist record so i cant see that is it possible to move that into the right side of the screen?

You should not need a 6 core processor to play Fortnite at 60 fps. If you are seeing that your CPU is being used instead of your GPU, then you may want to check your graphics card settings to make sure something hasn't been set incorrectly there. Making use of the GPU will get you the biggest gains in performance.

You move the position of overlay in the Overlay section your FBX settings.
