Hotkeys for Recording Not Working

Hello, I have a problem with my hotkeys for my game recording. The hotkey reminding says that the hotkey to start recording and stop is "Ctrl. + F12", but when I press both of those keys at the same time, it does not change anything or start recording. The keys just turn up my brightness. (I am on Windows 10.) I would like feedback as soon as possible please, thank you!

It sounds like your keyboard is one where the F keys double up as other options such as brightness, volume, etc. (very common for laptops)
For these you also need to press the Fn key to make the F key actually act as an F key.
