Lacking sharpness and color

The current FBX files are lacking vibrant color as it did before. It appears to be better in the FBX player.
The sharpness is also lacking. The edges are soft and the text is soft.

No changes to FBX's encoding recently. Things to check:

The video player you're viewing the MP4 file in. There can be big differences in how they display colors. Try playing it back in a few.

The Encoder you have selected, in the Video settings tab in FBX.

The Quality you have selected.
