System Tray Record Indication

I recently switched to FBX from an older version of PlayClaw. I'm impressed by the performance, even on my ancient laptop, and the build-in support to record game sound only is really convenient.
A feature I'm dearly missing however is to have the Tray Icon indicate whether or not a recording is currently taking place.
For example with PlayClaw, the normally blue Tray Icon would turn red while recording.Since I cannot use the Overlay, as it distracts me while playing and shows up in screenshots, for now my recordings are basically Schrödinger's cat. Being able to tell if I even pressed the right key or if 20 minutes in the recording is still going with a glance at the System Tray would be a great QoL improvement.
