  Do you mean that you aren't allowed to move the file or something like that?

  If that's the case, just close FBX and you should then be fine - if its included in your Captures tab and you were to move it whilst FBX is running, that could cause problems so that's why its not possible.

  The only way the older version of FBX could enable NVenc for selection is if you had some drivers installed previously that enabled, or appeared to enable, it on the 940M. FBX itself hasn't made any change to the available encoders.

  If you send us a report from the Support tab, we'll be able to see some historical data on recordings, to try and help you reproduce what you were doing previously, but as it stands, you only have the options on the Settings -> Video tab to adjust bitrate and performance.

  Thanks! I really appreciate it. This is the only recorder I was able to find that actually records well, and to hear that streaming will be added is even better. Definitely underrated. I'll send some of my friends a link to FBX, hopefully they can find as much use out of it as I do :D

  There will always be a free version of FBX but, in time, there will also be a paid version that will include a lot more features than are available in the free version. We're still working out the details for that though.

  When you start watching a YouTube video for the first time, it is not uncommon for YouTube to initially select a fairly low resolution for you. It does this because it doesn't yet know if your internet connection will support good playback of higher resolutions - it prioritises smooth playback at low resolution over risking bad playback at high resolution. Once YouTube realises that you internet can happily handle 1080p or whatever you uploaded at, it'll automatically switch to that instead. Sometimes this just takes a few seconds, sometimes it takes a bit longer.

  Not in the near future - the way Chrome is built makes it more suitable for recording than other browsers. We'll probably add a 'Record full screen' feature at some point, which will record whatever's on the screen, but not in the next release.

  Ok, we're looking at related things right now. Other users have requested to record the game audio without their Discord chats, and we may have a way of doing that, but recording Discord without the game is trickier, because it gets mixed into the 'PC sounds' audio with the game. We'll see what we can do...

  You can, if you're using a hardware encoder. FBX is restricted to 60fps if you're using software encoders that have lower performance than hardware ones. We had too many cases of users with older PCs, using a software encoder, setting FPS to 144 and getting bad performance, so decided to restrict it.

  We're going to take a look at this at some point but possibly not for a while.

  Because of the way that FBX works, specifically capturing the game will always give better performance than simply capturing the whole screen so that would remain the primary and recommended way to use FBX even if this is added as an extra option.
