  Glad you're enjoying FBX! It's looking like mid-late Jan for editing. This means you'll be able to add stickers, effects (slow-mo, freeze frame, speed up), text, sound to movies.

  Ah, ok - thanks for letting us know.

  You can change this so FBX completely closes when you hit the 'X' in the main window, instead of going to the icon tray: go to Settings -> Options -> Application Settings, at the bottom.

  So you're trying to install an upgrade but get a message that FBX is still running? If you've selected 'Exit' from the icon menu, this shouldn't happen. Can you do this:

  Go to the Windows Start button Search for "FBX" The "FBX Game Recorder" folder should appear in the search results, go into that and select 'Send a Problem Report'

  And we'll take a look.

  We see the overlay when using WIndowed or Fullscreen mode. When we switch between the overlay disappears for a second or two, which is normal, and then reappears.

  Can you do the following please:

  1 - Start Fortnite in WIndowed mode while FBX is running
  2 - Switch Fortnite to Fullscreen mode
  3 - Wait for about 10 seconds
  4 - Return to FBX
  5 - Use the Send a Problem Report option on FBX's Support tab to send us your log files to take a look at.

  In that case we'll need you to send us some log files so we can figure out what's going on. Please do the following:

  1 - Go to C:\ProgramData\Blueberry Software\FBXGameRecorder\ (C:\ProgramData is hidden so you need the option to show Hidden items enabled to find it)
  2 - Create a zip file containing the most recent "Session" folder
  3 - Email the zip file to us at [email protected]

  You should be able to since it can use both DirectX or OpenGL. It worked for us when we tried.

  Thanks for the reply. Since my original question, I have discovered Flaskback, also published by Blueberry. That's what I'll be using for my Blender tutorials. Of course, I'll continue to use FBX for games. :)

  No performance difference, but the recording files will be smaller and with slightly lower image quality.

  If you've turned on Chrome recording in the "Webgames" tab of the settings, this will record whatever you see in the Chrome browser window, not just games.
