  FBX is designed specifically for recording video games so it isn't intended to be compatible with apps like Discord.

  For general screen recording like this, you could try our general purpose recorder, FlashBack (https://www.flashbackrecorder.com/).

  You mean FBX doesn't run? Can you try this:

  To give us an idea of what's going wrong, go to the Windows Start button and search for "FBX". In the FBX Game Recorder folder in the results, click "Send a report".

  See if this fixes it: uninstall FBX, restart Windows, reinstall FBX

  Go to Settings -> Audio. On the tab you'll see 2 options for the 'Desktop' sound: 'System sounds' or 'Game sound only'. Select 'System sounds' to include all the PC sounds you hear in your recording.

  If FBX detects that your CPU (Intel only) or graphics card can do hardware encoding, it offers the options. If you only have software options available, do you see a message about installing x264? That may be the best option.

  Make sure you've got the mic recording turned on, on the Settings -> Audio tab - we don't turn it on by default. If its definitely turned on and the internal mic selected, and you're still not hearing it in recordings, go to the Support tab and send us a report - we'll take a look.

  You need to go to Settings -> Webgames and turn on the 'Record Chrome' setting. Then you may see the FBX overlay in Chrome. If not, this means its not compatible with your PC and you could try FlashBack Express.

  We're working on a method of recording part or all of the entire screen, which would record browser games and be more widely compatible than the current 'Chrome Recording' feature.

  We will soon starting charging for FBX but anyone who is already using FBX before that is introduced can continue to use all of the existing features for free as an 'early adopter'.

  Some of the new features we will be adding will require an upgrade to use but that upgrade is completely optional, so if you are happy with what you already have, you do not need to pay for them.

  There will also be a free version available to non-early adopters but this will include a limit on how long they can record for and a watermark.

  If you reproduce the problem and then immediately use the Send a problem report option on FBX's Support tab to send us your performance data, we'll take a look to see if there are any problems.
