Thanks - we're not sure why it would have defaulted to 'mute' though. Possibly you've hit that hotkey in-game for some other function and triggered the Mute.
@Skinny-Legends Try this: re-install it using the installer you originally downloaded (or get the installer again), restart Windows, then go to the Windows Controls Panel and try again to uninstall it.
Ok, we'll need to see your log files to figure that out - can you reproduce the problem, then do the following:
1 - Go to C:\ProgramData\Blueberry Software\FBXGameRecorder\ (C:\ProgramData is hidden so you need the option to show Hidden items enabled to find it)
2 - Right click on the most recent "Session" folder and send it to a zip file.
3 - Email the zip file to us at [email protected]
We'll need you to get v2.13, which was just released on Tuesday, make sure the problem is still happening, and send another report. We'll take a look at that. Thanks!
We'll need to see log files. Do this: go to the Windows Start button and search for "FBX". You should see "FBX Game Recorder" folder in the search results. Expand that and select "Send a Problem Report". Send us a report and we'll take a look. Thanks!
If you have a hardware encoder available, make sure that is selected. If not, x264 is usually the best software encoder although you will need to follow the download link to install it.
Obviously, don't have any unneeded apps running the background while you are recording.
Can't really say any more than that without knowing more specifics.
We'll need to see log files to figure this out. Reproduce the problem by making a 'bad' recording and trying to view it. Then go to the Support tab and send us a report. Thanks!
Unfortunately Chrome recording doesn't work in all cases, and it looks like we're unlikely to get it working that PC. One last thing you could try is a driver update. We're working on a new recording system that will just record the screen contents, so it should always work for Chrome.
Bro, I am on OpenGL+, it sure is better than DirectX
Are you people working on optimising the recorder a bit...
I mean sure it works beautifully, much better than that f***ing OBS
Great job anyways
You mean you are watching a video recorded by FBX on your phone?
Is the video a different aspect ratio to the phone's screen? If so, the video player will add black bars as padding to fill the rest of the screen that isn't occupied by the video's image. In other words, the black bars are not actually part of the video.
Is it plugged in before you start FBX? FBX only checks for available mics when it is launched so it will not detect it if it is plugged in later unless you restart FBX.
In Tencent's settings, set it to OpenGL+ mode. Then do you see the FBX overlay? Seems like the Tencent graphics mode that works best can vary from PC to PC.
If its not reaching the selected fps whilst recording, that means that there is too much stress on your PC. Try reducing either the resolution or the recording frame rate to improve performance.
It's hard for us to say without either seeing the footage or knowing what hardware its running on.
Can you use the Send a problem report option on FBX's Support tab to send us a set of log files? The performance data in there might tell us something.
Terraria should record ok - can you switch to it, wait for 20 seconds for the FBX overlay and if it doesn't appear, go to the Support tab of FBX and send us a report. We'll take a look.
