Hi. Can we separate out the issues with Express and FBX - they use completely different methods of recording the screen, so the issues may not be related. So...

For Express, this 'top left corner' thing isn't something we've heard of before. Can you reproduce the problem, then go to the Help menu -> Support -> Report a Problem to Blueberry. And give us a quick description of the problem so we know its you and what you're trying to record.

For FBX - you're still talking about RPG Maker? Still wondering about options to make these non-DX/OpenGL games recordable.

Ok, thanks. The hardware encoders will give better performance, and sometimes better image quality, than the software ones.

Shame :( We're going to look into this more soon. For sure, if you select the software encoder named "Higher quality..." this will create a movie at exactly the set FPS. Its not as efficient as the NVidia encoder, but for 30fps, it might go.

Also, you should have an Intel h/w encoder option - your CPU is capable. You could try upgrading Intel drivers to see if the option appears, and try that.

Hi. I replied to your email, but here it is again, for the forums:

I'm afraid with the PC spec you have (older AMD CPU and GPU), its going to be difficult to get a high frame rate, high resolution recording without slowing the game down. The Radeon HD7480D you have isn't capable of encoding the recording in hardware, which would make a big difference to performance.

All I can suggest is that you select a lower frame rate or resolution for the recording, on FBX's Settings tab. Make sure you have the "Lower quality, lower CPU use" encoder selected. Hope this helps!

Strange - I'm not sure we've tested Dead by Daylight, but I've recorded Hearthstone many times. Can you do this please:
Run FBX and Hearthstone, and make sure the overlay doesn't appear Go to the Support tab in FBX and send us a report. Include your email address and a quick description so we know its you.
We'll take a look and try to figure out what's gone wrong.

Hi,

Go to your Windows Control Panel and "Programs and Features". There will be an item for "FBX Recorder" you can use to uninstall it.

Alternatively go to "PC Settings" in Windows, then "System", then "Apps and Features" and find the item for FBX.

Hi. First, have you definitely set the mic volume slider to the maximum on the 'Webcam and Sound' tab in FBX?

If so, take a look in Window settings to see if you can increase the volume or boost it there:

Hi,
The log files that we received from you show that whilst you were recording your PC had very little free memory and there was a very high load on your CPU meaning there were not sufficient resources available for FBX.
Try switching to a lower recording frame rate or using a different video encoder (ideally one that doesn't end in MFT) to see if that improves things.

Hi,
Thanks for verifying the problem is in the recording and not the FBX player. This is likely to be a performance problem caused by heavy CPU usage and low available memory somehow - we can see that you're using a Pentium with 2Gb of RAM. I'd recommend selecting lower FPS value on the Settings -> General tab to improve CPU usage.

FBX should record any game that uses either DirectX 9 -12 or OpenGL.

If any games using those technologies do not record, then we need to know about it.

We think that FBX is being blocked from accessing the games by another application, possibly RocketDock. Are you able to temporarily disable that and then try Minecraft or Fortnite to see if that makes any difference?

We've just tried out the latest release of Rules of Survival and the overlay appeared for us so you should see it also.

Can you start ROS again while FBX is running and then use the 'Send a Problem Report' on FBX's Support tab to send us a set of logs please? We'll take a look to see if we can find the cause of your problem.
