  @gamesNSFW-mythlover20 Sorry to hear this. I can see at least one of your mails went straight to the spam folder. It sounds like FBX has created a 'bad' video file somehow, which is fouling up the support tab. Can you:

  For the Captures tab crash:

  Reproduce the problem with clicking on the Captures tab Restart FBX, go to the Support tab and send us a report. This will contain log files that give us a better idea of what's happening on your PC. We'll take a look.

  For the recording problem:

  Tell us what game you're trying to record. Again, reproduce the problem and send us a report.

  We can record Discord and the game just fine. FBX should record whatever's coming out of your speakers or headphones. Do you have an unusual sound setup?

  Can you make a recording to reproduce the problem, then go to the Support tab and send us a report. That should have some more information about your PC's audio.

  The MP4 video encoder that FBX uses requires the height and the width of the saved videos to be multiples of 8. So in the case of a video with height of 1050, unfortunately that means that it needs to be trimmed to 1048 to meet that requirement.

  If you select either 1080p or 720p in the Resolution setting instead of Original, the full 1680 x 1050 image will be rescaled to the resolution that you choose so you won't lose anything.

  We can see you've overcome this problem, but you should use v2.6 instead of 2.5 - it has a lot of improvements and fixes. We'll remove the link to the old 2.5 version in the post above.

  sorry took so log to reply getting error just to log in here, sand logs but cant be save doing the game freeze, I put in fullscreen in overwatch, i can put in window size but it will get low chance getting game freeze.

  FBX records videos by default to the Videos library, folder 'FBX Game Recorder'. Take a look in that folder for MP4 files to add. If the MP4 files are gone from that folder, then something else has removed them - it won't be FBX. Try checking the Recycle bin.

  Can you explain a bit more? You are recording a game, you switch away, then switch back and stop recording, and the recording video will not open?

  We've tried the free standalone version and the paid Steam version but they both recorded fine for us.

  Can you start up the game while FBX is running, leave it for about 20 or so seconds and then use the Send a problem report option on FBX's Support tab to send us a set of log files please? We'll need to take a look at those to figure out why you don't see the overlay.

  FBX needs admin permissions to activate its 'hook', so it can get the in-game images for recording - its not related to folders.

  We got your report - thanks. Its going to be difficult to figure out what went wrong with those old recordings. If you get a bad recording again, can you send us the most recent "Session_" folder again immediately.

  The developer responsible for the report sending system is investigating that problem...
