  @Mars-Playz Replied to your other post, but so its here: to exit FBX completely, right click the tray icon and select 'Exit' on the menu.

  If you want the 'X' on the main window to exit FBX and not send it to the icon tray, go to Settings -> Options and see the 'Application Settings'.

  @FBX-Recorder It's a little weird, but I've never had an issue where it actually refused to stop. I'd just click multiply, then the mouse, then multiply again. Works without fail.

  Right-click on tray, then click exit. By default, the X button minimizes FBX to the system tray, but you can change the X button in settings to fully close the application. Don't know why you wouldn't want the overlay though, not particularly obstructive.

  I know this is an old thread, and that you may have fixed the problem or given up altogether, but you should be able to fix it using Task Manager (speaking from personal experience). First, get a task manager priority locker like Prio, Process Lasso, or Process Hacker (I suggest Prio, much simpler and easier to install than the others, find it at https://www.prnwatch.com/prio/). Then, after installation, open FBX. Open Task Manager as well. Navigate to the details tab and find the process labelled BBPlayFx.exe. Right click, make sure "Save Priority" is checked, then set the priority to High or Realtime. By default, it is set as normal. This allots slightly more system resources to the application, allowing for less or no frame drops in the recording.

  We managed to find the cause of this - it was if you were using the Intel hardware encoder.

  The next update which should be out very soon will include a fix or you can use a different encoder.

  We'll need to see log files to figure out what's going on. Can you do this please:

  Reproduce the problem In Windows Explorer go to C:\ProgramData\Blueberry Software\FBXGameRecorder\ . In here you should see a number of "session-..." folders Make a zip file of the most recent "session" folder (right click the folder and select Send to -> Compressed (zipped) folder) and send us the zip file at [email protected]

  (If you cannot find the C:\ProgramData\ folder, make sure you enable the option to show hidden items in your Windows Explorer)

  If you go to the Options section in the Settings tab, do you have a folder selected for the 'Save recordings to' option?

  If you navigate to that folder on your drive, are the saved recordings actually there?

  If the problem still occurs in 2.7, can you go to the Blueberry Software folder in your Windows Start menu, and use the 'Send a problem report' option to send us a set of log files please?

  There is no 360p setting. 480p is as low as you can go.

  Did you send the report that we asked for? We haven't seen one reporting any webcam problems. We need that in order to get a better idea of what is going on.

  The log files that we received from you indicate that you are missing a file from your FBX installation - I think we've seen once or twice before when overly-aggressive anti-virus has taken a dislike to it for some reason.

  Try reinstalling FBX to see if the file is successfully added this time. If it isn't, see if you can add an exception for the FBX installer in your anti-virus software.

  We've looked at the log files you sent us and it seems that the version of Tencent Gaming Buddy that you are running is not actually attempting to use DirectX or OpenGL for some reason. Without it using one of these, FBX is not able to record it.

  The only advice we can give is to experiment with the Rendering settings in Tencent to see if one of those will force it to use DIrectX or OpenGL.

  Some other application, or Windows, is automatically changing the level.

  Can you try going to Control Panel -> Sound -> Recording, selecting the microphone and clicking 'Properties' then select 'Advanced' and try changing the 'Exclusive mode' settings.

  You can also go to the Communications tab and set 'Do nothing'

  If none of these work, try googling the problem - other Windows users (not FBX users) have had the same problem.
